Plants vs Zombies

- How (not) to make money

I thought I had a brilliant plan to make a truckload of cash in that most addictive game, Plants vs Zombies.
I’ve completed most of the achievements, but haven’t yet bought a tenth seed slot or either of the extra zen gardens,
and haven’t yet grown the Tree of Wisdom to 100 feet.
A screenshot should show you how I hoped to fund this:

But unfortunately my marigold garden was certainly not the roaring success I hoped it would be. It appears the
gosh darned flowers stop producing coins if you’re not killing zombies. This whole level netted me a grand total of
about $3000. That’s pretty rubbish for about half an hour’s playing.

A much better solution to how to make a decent amount of money using a similar idea is provided by
Scott King, below:

This is done in the ‘Last Stand’ minigame, and can net you $8000 to $10000 per game. However, I find this exact setup
doesn’t always work perfectly. A couple of times one single zombie has made it past the gloom-shrooms, and I’ve been
powerless to do anything to stop it. A couple of extra pumpkins in the top and bottom rows usually does the trick.
Also, the garlics have to be replaced every flag or two, so be sure to save enough sun for that.

Hope this helps. All the best with your Plants vs Zombies money making!
